Today was enlightening for me. I've never really sat through a two hour class session of intense discussion and lecture of that sort and to be quite honest, I was not prepared for it. Many of topics such as sex and promiscuity, I had never discussed in a classroom setting before. However, it was interesting to hear everyones opinions on the matters and their reasoning behind it. I personally feel that the entire Epic of Gligamesh was the answer to people of Uruks prayers. In the beginning of the story, Gilgamesh was a cocky and arrogant king that was constantly seeking personal gain. At the end of the story, through his many trials and tribulations, Gilgamesh became an honorable king that found true happiness in helping others. The ending really spoke to me and I realized that I need to personally change my self and do more to help those in need.

That link is to a blog of missionary family in Uganda, Africa that helps people in all aspects of life. Read some of the posts and discover how they are like Gilgamesh at the end of the story. They put others in front of self. I want to be more like them.
Phillippians 2:3-4 "3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others."
