Oedipus (Seek and You Shall Find)

Yesterdays discussion on Oedipus was enlightening. A lot of people in class did not feel/agree with my opinions on seeking information or knowledge. My opinion is that sometimes it's just better not to know things about yourself/others/situations. I tend to build impressions on people if I hear unneeded information about them such as their sexual preference or educational history. I feel its best to let sleeping dogs lie when it comes to seeking secrets about ones self or others. This opinion proves to be valid Oedipus when he sought after information on a prophecy and ended up losing all that he onced loved. I dont want to lose anything I love so I just dont seek after knowledge. (And I'm extremely lazy) ;)
